The nearest beach is Bossiney Cove, which has sand at low tide although reached via a steep walk. Trebarwith Strand, good for surfing and with easier access, is about 15 minutes drive. This is good walking country with the coastal footpath and the dramatic Rocky Valley just a 5 minute walk away, as well as riding stables close by. A regular bus service operates to Wadebridge, Camelford and Bude, and both Bodmin Moor and The Camel Estuary are within a 30 minute drive.
