A regular bus service operates to Truro, Falmouth and Helston. Kernewek offers a good base for walkers with woodland and creekside paths in abundance and there is also a coast to coast picturesque cycle trail nearby with bike hire.

The boating beach at Loe with watersports tuition and equipment hire is within a few minutes drive as is the King Harry Ferry providing a gateway to explore the delightful Roseland Peninsula. Trelissick Gardens, Killiow golf course with driving range and Foxhole riding stables are all close by and the nearest sandy beaches are at Falmouth, approximately 7 miles.
