A delightful renovated character cottage retaining much of its old world charm, in an ideal position set slightly to one side of the main street that winds its way through the coastal village of Marazion and the towering half-island of St Michaels Mount, only 5 minutes walk from the long sandy beach that stretches around Mounts Bay. Set halfway down a quaint ungated pedestrian alleyway, where a stable door opens to a country style fitted kitchen and dining room with a slate floor and a painted board and beam ceiling. From here, three steps lead up to a cosy sitting room with a gas woodburner effect stove in an attractive slate hearth and a lovely timber lintel enhancing the rustic feel. Upstairs are a Victorian style bathroom W.C. with hand basin and electric shower above the bath and two bedrooms, one with oblique views of St Michaels Mount and glimpses of the sea. A twin bedded room with an open beamed ceiling, and at the far end of the landing, a master bedroom with a 5ft double bed and exposed beams rising to the apex of the roof. There are electric convector heaters in all the bedrooms. Across the alleyway is a small garden room with casual seating and patio doors which open to a pretty little courtyard, ideal for summer evenings. There is private parking for one car accessed via a narrow lane and all the village amenities are within a 5 minute walk. The main town of Penzance is 3 miles away where a daily helicopter and ferry service operates to the Isles of Scilly, and the famous attraction of St Michaels Mount can be reached on foot over a causeway at low tide, or by foot ferry at high tide.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:
How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £18 pppw (per pet per week).
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
