Set in a quiet and peaceful location Trenale Court was
originally an attractive collection of elderly buildings on three sides of a
courtyard only half a mile from Tintagel and about one mile
from the sea. Now a group of eight carefully converted holiday cottages with shining white or natural stone
elevations set around sheltered landscaped gardens. Each
cottage has a private gated patio/garden, some with sea views.
There is a shared grassy paddock for recreational use, with
extensive sea views often benefitting from
stunning sunsets. A large car park has ample parking space for
one car per property. They are open all year offering winter
breaks if required. On high ground they look across open countryside to
Tintagel and the sea, with panoramic views of the
ocean almost from the coast of Devon, including Lundy
in the east, to Padstow in the west. In the main they are
designed for couples and small families, a favourite for
families and friends who wish to holiday together but benefit from
independent accommodation. Pets are welcome
and all the cottages are pleasantly and comfortably furnished.
With the exception of Hobbys, living rooms consist of galley kitchen / dining /
sitting areas. All bathrooms have instant electric showers over
the bath. Tintagel with a variety of shops and restaurants is easily reached on
foot. Bossiney Cove, a steady 20 minutes walk, reveals a sandy
beach at low tide and the area abounds with
walks, both rural and cliff top. There are riding
stables close by and in indoor swimming pool at Camelford. Surfing at
Trebarwith Strand - 2.5 miles. Boscastle also 2.5 miles. SHARED
FEATURES: Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

A spacious split level cottage, originally a granary, entered from the corner of the landscaped courtyard where there is a parking space adjacent to the property. The porch opens into an attractive beamed dining room separated by open studwork from a newly fitted kitchen. To one side, there is a recently upgraded bathroom / W.C. with hand basin, a shower over the bath and a heated towel rail. A short flight of steps leads up to a half landing where there are three bedrooms which have a double bed, twin beds and 3ft pine bunk beds respectively. A few steps further up is a pleasant gallery / sitting room with beams open to the apex of the roof and some exposed stonework. Two or three slate steps lead down to French windows and continue down to a grassy fenced garden with views over the farmland to the sea, and a gate which gives access to the pathway leading to the paddock. Please note: Towels are not available.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:
How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £18 pppw (per pet per week).
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
