Set in the middle of beautiful unspoilt rolling fields perfectly situated for those who wish to get away from it all, this recently converted detached stone barn was once an old cart barn and is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding peaceful countryside.
Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with an abundance of birds and wildlife, the property is double glazed and centrally heated providing warm and cosy accommodation all year round, just five miles from the mediaeval walled town of Launceston.
Approached from the gated gravel driveway where there is ample parking for a car and trailer, eight shallow steps lead up to the private and sheltered sunny patio with the front door opening directly into a delightful, light and airy living room.
Furnished to a high standard and with magnificent countryside views, the ground floor is open-plan with comfortable lounge seating, dining suite, a smartly fitted kitchen and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. There is a sofa bed offering an alternative to the sleeping arrangements.
In one corner of the lounge, a carpeted staircase leads up to the attractive bedroom with a double bed tucked under the sloping ceiling and wonderful views over the lawned garden and countryside beyond from two Velux windows.
At the front of the property there is a delightful, paved and flower filled sun terrace and steps leading down to a fenced and gated lawned garden and summerhouse with tranquil views of the surrounding countryside right across to Dartmoor on a clear day. Pets are welcome but dogs will need to be kept under control as the neighbouring fields may sometimes contain livestock.
There are several village pubs within a short drive, the nearest being the 17th century Eliot Arms at Tregadillett, 4 miles. Launceston, proud to be known as the “Gateway to Cornwall” has a good selection of shops and is 15 minutes by car, and the nearest beach is at Crackington Haven 30 minutes away.
Trethorne Golf Club, Launceston Steam Railway, coarse fishing at the Hidden Valley Discovery Park and the Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre are all within the immediate vicinity and there is plenty of country walks close by.
Please note: 1 medium size dog welcome at £18.00 pppw

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.

- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
