Within 15 minutes of the sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand and with panoramic views over fields and moorland towards Stannon Lake and Roughtor, this very spacious and comfortable detached, double-glazed, granite and slate barn, is set amid lovely peaceful farmland on the western edge of Bodmin Moor. This area of outstanding natural beauty is excellent for walkers but also provides a good base from which to explore the fishing villages of Port Isaac and Boscastle, and the Camel Estuary.
Carefully and imaginatively converted, the property is approached by a short gated driveway leading to a parking area for several cars. The inverted accommodation enjoys wide open views of the surrounding countryside and is entered at ground floor level into a long quarry tiled hallway with an adjacent bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath.
There are four delightful bedrooms; a master bedroom with a double and single bed and an en-suite shower room W.C. with hand basin, a double bedroom and a twin bedded room both with views over the rear garden, and a further room with two single beds. A central carpeted staircase leads up from the hall to the first floor landing. On one side is a lovely long sitting room with comfortable seating, a gas coal-effect stove and windows on three sides; the end window frames the view of Stannon Lake.
On the other side of the landing, two steps lead up to a large well-equipped kitchen with laminate flooring, smartly fitted units including a rangemaster cooker and a rustic farmhouse style dining table with chairs. In one corner, a door opens to a flight of external railed steps that lead down to an informal grassed garden which is completely enclosed. There is a sheltered patio area and a level lawn with summerhouse in addition to a secluded area of private lawn. There is also a useful washroom with laundry facilities. The elderly or infirm may need care as there are occasional steps inside the property.
Camelford, 2 miles, has a museum, leisure centre and a small selection of shops and pubs. The nearest beaches are a 15 minute drive as are the towns of Bodmin and Wadebridge. The Eden Project and the South Coast are just over a 30 minute drive away and there are several golf courses close by.

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
- Excellent

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
