A traditional double-fronted detached cottage about a quarter of a mile from the head of the narrow wooded creek of Pont Pill on the Fowey Estuary, set in a mature garden with a trickling trout stream running parallel with the boundary of the property.
Entered from the parking area, a gravel path leads through the tree shaded woodland garden to the rear door which opens into a rustic slate floored kitchen with double belfast sink, oil fired aga for cooking, central heating and hot water, and electric hob. A low doorway and one step leads down to an adjacent dining room with a board and beam ceiling, and a farmhouse style pine dining suite next to the hearth.
There are two reception rooms; a cosy sitting room with comfortable seating for 4 facing the fireplace and a window overlooking the front garden, and a second sitting room leading off the kitchen ideal for children with seating for a further 3. To complete the ground floor accommodation, the original stable front door opens to a small sun porch leading out to the lawned garden.
Fairly steep carpeted stairs from the dining room divide at the top to a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, bath and shower cubicle, a separate cloakroom W.C. with hand basin and to three cottage style bedrooms. There are two twin bedded rooms with window seats overlooking the garden and the master bedroom has a 5ft double bed.
To the front of the cottage there is a lawned garden with a gate leading to the country lane, a small wildlife pond and access to the shallow riverbank, young children will require supervision. A linhay houses the freezer and laundry facilities and there is also ample room for storage of beach gear. The Old Ferry Inn at Bodinnick is 1.5 miles away, and the picturesque village of Polruan, 3.5 miles, has a small selection of shops and a pub overlooking the harbour.
Fowey, which can be reached via a car ferry, has a wide variety of amenities and there are boat trips that leave from the town quay. This is an ideal base for exploring the superb nearby coastal walks out to the NT Pencarrow Head and glorious circular creek walks.

When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.
Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:
How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £18 pppw (per pet per week).
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
