With views across Falmouth Harbour to Trefusis Point from upstairs, this late 18th century, slate hung cottage is superbly positioned just a couple of minutes walk from all the town amenities and half a mile from three beautiful sandy beaches.
Retaining much of its original charm, the property now benefits from secondary glazing and central heating and is entered via a couple of steps leading up to a small, fenced and gated, pretty courtyard garden with patio seating.
The front door opens to a wide hallway with a utility cupboard and a ground floor shower room W.C. with hand basin. Leading off to one side is a cosy sitting room with comfortable furniture facing the period working fireplace and two windows overlooking the little stone flagged front terrace.
At the rear of the cottage, a beamed farmhouse kitchen has an electric hob, a gas Rayburn for cooking, central heating and hot water, traditional dresser and a dining table, chairs and settle.
Carpeted stairs from the hall lead up to the first floor landing with a seating alcove and fine views over the harbour towards Flushing and St Mawes, and an adjacent cot in a curtained recess.
There are four cottage style bedrooms in a light and airy décor; two bunk bedded rooms with 3ft bunk beds, a twin bedroom and the master bedroom with a double bed facing a window with estuary views. A bathroom W.C. with hand basin completes the accommodation.
There is a private off road parking space for one car about 20 yards away.
The town has plenty of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants within a 5 minute walk downhill and just a little further to the pier where boat trips depart upriver and ferries operate to St Mawes and Flushing. Gyllyngvase and Castle beach are a 10 minute walk, as are Pendennis Castle, the National Maritime Museum, an indoor leisure pool and bowling alley. The gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan are within a short drive and there are also several golf courses within the vicinity.

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
