TV (Digital)With delightful views across the River Tamar and set alongside the estate of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park with 800 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland dating back to the 15th Century.
This self contained cottage built of local stone and slate and furnished to provide a high standard of comfort and warmth is situated just yards from the waterfront in the small village of Cremyll, the ancient gateway to Cornwall.
With all the accommodation on the first floor, the property is entered via a dozen external railed steps which lead up to the front door opening directly into an attractive sitting room with leather seating, laminate wood floor, and views looking across the mouth of the River Tamar.
Leading off in one corner, an inner hallway gives access to a very pleasant double bedroom, a spacious kitchen/dining room with modern fitted units, and beyond, two steps lead down to a shower room W.C. with hand basin.
It is possible to unload outside the property and parking is available in a free car park 50 yards away.
The Edgcumbe Arms, also known as the inn in the park, offering excellent food is close by, and the quaint seaside villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, with a small selection of local shops and pubs, are less than 3 miles away.
The Cremyll passenger ferry is just a 10 minute journey across the River Tamar landing at Admirals Hard in Plymouth, or alternatively the Torpoint car ferry is approximately 8 miles away. The award winning Mount Edgcumbe Country Park covers 865 acres of spectacular coastal scenery and countryside with wild deer, formal gardens, woodlands, historic buildings and the National Camelia Collection.
The South West Coastal Footpath runs along the shores of Mount Edgcumbe Park from Cremyll to Rame Head and it is just a short drive to the spectacular sandy beaches at Whitsand Bay. There is a golf course at Portwrinkle, fishing is available at Millbrook Lake and Tamar Cruising operate pleasure boat trips departing from Plymouths Barbican.
