Freezer (shared)Just 200 yards from the coastal footpath and only two miles south of the popular surfing beach of Widemouth Bay, this recently converted ground floor wing of the owners detached 19th century barn offers comfortable accommodation set above Millook Valley with views of the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Situated in a designated AONB three quarters of a mile from the cove and beach at Millook, this completely self contained apartment with double glazing and oil central heating is a peaceful haven for walkers and bird lovers and a great base for exploring this section of the North Coast.
The front door leads into a small entrance lobby and then into a cosy open-plan lounge area with part natural exposed stonework. Leading off at the rear are a modern, fully tiled bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over bath and a well-equipped kitchen / dining room.
Attached to the kitchen is a double glazed garden room with casual chairs and a breakfast suite, and a glazed door leading out to the patio area that provides a lovely sun trap. To complete the accommodation, there is a large bedroom with a king-size bed and ample space for a cot and / or an extra single bed (available on request).
Visitors are welcome to make use of the owners laundry room and there is normally space in the owners deep freeze for visitors frozen food. The mature garden surrounding the barn offers a peaceful and secluded setting for visitors to make use of. There is on site parking for one car.
The nearest bar / restaurant is three quarters of a mile away and there are a pub and small grocery store with excellent fresh fish at Widemouth Bay. Crackington Haven and Bude are approx 6 miles respectively. The area offers a wide range of amenities including tennis, golf, riding, leisure pool and bowling alley and the recently restored Bude Canal with its sea lock.
