Set on a 200 acre family run working farm just one
mile from Tintagel in a beautiful part of North Cornwall surrounded by lush
green fields and within a stones throw of the dramatic coastline and its fine
beaches. Well placed for walkers and
family holidays and within easy reach of all the amenities that the Atlantic
coast offers, these three thoughtfully renovated properties offer a very
convenient base from which to explore north and mid Cornwall.
The area abounds with lovely walks across the
fields to Bossiney Cove, down the hill to Rocky Valley, take the coastal path
to Boscastle Harbour and Tintagel Castle, or through the woods to the mystical
waterfall at St Nectans Glen. Set in the
tiny hamlet of Halgabron, Clifden Farm is just a mile from Tintagel, famous for
its association with the legend of King Arthur, and 3 miles from the
picturesque harbour at Boscastle, both with a selection of local shops.
The nearest supermarket is in Camelford 5 miles away. The immediate area is a haven for bird and wildlife enthusiasts and there are a wide choice of sandy beaches close by the nearest being Bossiney Cove, which has sand at low tide accessed via a fairly steep incline and the sandy surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand is less than a ten minute drive. Dairylea & Dobbins Den are on two sides of a tarmac courtyard with a sizeable shared lawn area giving lots of space for children to play outdoors. Peek-a-boo is about 70 yards away from the cottages. Pets are welcome however as this is a working farm; dogs should be supervised at all times.

Approachedfrom the shared courtyard that fronts both Dairylea and Dobbins Den, this doubleglazed, sympathetically converted stone cottage was originally used forstabling the farm horses and now provides comfortable accommodation for smallfamilies or couples. The front dooropens directly into a beamed open-plan living room which occupies the whole ofthe ground floor, with a neatly fitted kitchen area, pine dining suite andlounge seating arranged before a hearth formed from an original mill stone witha coal effect electric fire. A carpetedstaircase leads directly up from the lounge to a small first floor landingwhere there are a fully tiled bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over thebath and two cottage style bedrooms with a double and twin beds respectively. Both bedrooms have glimpses of the sea in thedistance. Outside, there is a shelteredpicnic area with slate chippings and a lawned area for the sole use of thisproperty in addition to the sizeable shared grassy garden where children canplay freely away from any farm traffic. Thereis space for one car adjacent to the property with additional parking in thecourtyard.

Pets
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

How to book
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
Pricing information
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Definitions
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
Reservations
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
