Croft Cottages
Goonhavern | Nr Perranporth | Sleeps 21 in 5 cottages

Little Croft, Croft Cottage, Beech Croft, Hazel Croft and Pine Croft are attractively set in just under four acres of mature gardens, fields and small areas of woodland on the outskirts of the village of Goonhavern. Visitors are able to make full use of all the grounds for recreational purposes. Goonhavern has a village shop and post office, pub, barber, and large garden centre with pet, greengrocer, gift shops and cafe.

Riding stables are also nearby. 2.5 miles away is the coastal resort of Perranporth with its miles of golden sands. The shops and attractions of Truro and Newquay are approximately a 15 minute drive.  No cats. Visitors returning to Croft Cottages within 2 years will receive a welcome pack on arrival, if booked after April 2012.

This attractive double glazed cottage with lattice windows and decorative climbing plants is set in a mature colourful garden, incorporating the older part of the now extended main house. 

Entered from the main courtyard close to the parking area, the front door leads into a hallway with coats area and under stairs cupboard. To the right of the hallway is a well equipped fitted kitchen and at the end is a door leading to a spacious dining room with an additional chair and a step leading down to a cosy sitting room with a comfortable lounge suite and an attractive open fireplace.

At the far end of the dining room a door opens into an additional coats area with a further door opening onto a beautiful sunken patio with lily pond containing goldfish.  There is also an external utility room

From the entrance hall stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a bathroom W.C. with shower over the bath and a large pretty double bedroom, with en-suite W.C. and hand basin, overlooking the patio and extensive gardens

Outside there is a brick bbq for the exclusive use of this property.  There is parking available for one car with further spaces on request.

When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £18 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

Loyalty Discount

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests who have booked a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.
How to book

  1. Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
  2. A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
  3. Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
  4. 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Definitions

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

Some properties offer short breaks out of the high season periods. Short breaks cannot currently be booked online. Please phone us on 01208 821 666 to enquire about a short break.

Prices for short breaks are as follows:
  • Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
  • 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
  • 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
  • 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
Reservations
