TV (Digital)A traditional mid-terrace granite cottage, formerly a fisherman’s dwelling, near the centre of the conservation town of Penryn and only a few minutes drive from Falmouth, the home of Cornwall’s maritime heritage.
A couple of steps lead up from the narrow lane to the front door which opens into a beamed living room which takes up the whole of the middle level with a wooden floor, exposed stonework and casual seating. There is a simply fitted kitchen area at the rear with additional open shelving and a pine dining suite.
An open tread Companion Way ladder leads down to the sitting room which was originally the net loft, now with comfortable furniture, white washed walls and a rear access door.
On the top floor are two cottage style bedrooms and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath, one bedroom has a double bed and the second has full size bunk beds. There are electric convector heaters in both bedrooms. Young children and the infirm may find the design of the cottage unsuitable.
There is a reserved parking space for one car only yards away from the property and the local shops and pubs in Penryn are just a two minute walk.
The beaches around Falmouth Bay are within a ten minute drive, as are the newly opened National Maritime Museum and the Castle at Pendennis Point, there are also several beautiful gardens within easy reach including Glendurgan, Trebah and Trelissick.
Please note:Two oil filled radiators, a solid fuel rayburn and open fire provide heating downstairs with a electric convector heater in each bedroom. Bed linen and towels not available.
