Approximately 5 miles across the moors to Penzance and 9 miles along the coast to St Ives, this self-contained double-glazed granite cottage offers spacious and comfortable accommodation in an area ideal for walkers, birdwatchers, botanists, geologists and photographers.
Entered from the driveway where there is ample parking space, one shallow step leads up to the front door, which opens to a wide hallway with coats cupboard. To one side, a door opens to a beamed living room with windows on three sides, comfortable seating arranged around a coal effect electric stove and a pine dining suite.
Leading off the entrance hall are a neatly fitted kitchen, a dressing room with space for a cot, a shower room W.C. with hand basin and an adjacent bedroom with a double bed and built in wardrobe. At one end of the property is a private patio area with views across the countryside towards the sea.
The owner provides a complimentary washing / drying service and there is storage space for bicycles and beachgear.
The village of Pendeen, 2 miles, has a traditional pub and village store and St Just about 4 miles away has a good selection of small shops. The small beach at Portheras Cove and Pendeen Lighthouse are within a 30-minute walk by footpath across fields and the South West Coast Path is under half a mile away. The beautiful harbour town of St Ives with its lovely sandy beaches, art galleries, shops and restaurants, and the seaside town of Penzance are a 15-minute drive respectively. There is a golf course at Cape Cornwall and surf school at Sennen Cove 20 minutes away.
