Set in the middle of the farming hamlet of Brane, this detached farmhouse stands in a huddle of farm buildings at the end of a long and winding country lane, within fifteen minutes drive of the lovely surfing beach at Sennen Cove.
The house is entered through a small porch with coat pegs into an inner hallway and an adjacent utility room with a larder cupboard and belfast sink. To one side, a door opens to a large open-plan L shaped kitchen/dining room with fitted units, a tiled floor and an adjoining day sitting room.
At the far side, a door leads through to a central hallway with a cloakroom W.C. and hand basin, and a light and airy sitting room with a big open fireplace and a small reading/study area.
On the first floor are four bedrooms, a bathroom W.C. with vanity basin and bath with hand shower attachment, and a shower room W.C. with hand basin. The master double bedroom has triple aspect windows with sea views on the horizon and a walk-in dressing/cot room, and there are three simply furnished twin bedded rooms, one with 2ft 6in bed.
There is on-site parking for at least three cars, and the informal garden is divided into four separate areas, with a level lawn sheltered on three sides by old stable buildings, a small grassy garden enclosed by a low wall and reached by a granite stile, a fenced area of private lawn and a gated shrub garden with a fish pond. The gardens are not suitable for toddlers or totally secure for pets which must be under control in this working dairy farming region.
The area abounds with footpaths and Carn Euny, an impressive iron age settlement, is a 15 minute walk. The beach at Sennen Cove is about 6 miles, as is the attractive town of Penzance with an extensive range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Lands End, the picturesque harbour village of Mousehole and the Minack open air theatre are all within a 30 minute drive, and there is fly fishing for trout at the nearby Drift reservoir.
Please note: Bed linen is available at £5 per person, per week payable on arrival. Towels available at £5 per person, per week payable on arrival.

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
