Set to one side of the owners family home in the village of Sheviock near to its 13th century church in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Furnished to a high standard, the accommodation is entered through a small entrance hallway leading into the warm and cosy sitting room with a beamed ceiling, quarry tiled floor and lovely countryside views. Beyond which is a well equipped fitted kitchen with a dining area and pine furniture.
Carpeted stairs lead up in one corner of the living room to a landing, a shower room W.C. with hand basin and two very comfortable bedrooms which have double and twin beds respectively both with restful views over the beautiful wooded valley and orchard.
There are electric convector heaters in both bedrooms. A spacious tarmac parking area for cars is to the front of the property and a generous sized lawn to one side.
A shop/P.O. and 15th century coaching inn are to be found at Crafthole half a mile away. The nearest beach and golf course are at Portwrinkle 1 mile and there are also local shops and a beach at Downderry 5 miles away.
Whitsand Bay and the Rame Peninsula offer beautiful sandy beaches and stunning coastal scenery and there are plenty of opportunities locally for bird watching, horse riding, fishing and diving.
The NT Antony House and Mount Edgcumbe Country Park are within a 15 minute drive and Plymouth with its numerous attractions is only 7 miles via the Torpoint car ferry which can be reached by bus. Boat trips depart from both Looe and Polperro about a 20 minute drive.

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
- Excellent
- Good
- Satisfactory
- Below standard
- Poor
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.

- "This was a well equipped cottage in a quiet location, convenient for the coast and with a number of attractive places to visit within a reasonable distance. The cottage owner provided some extras which were a pleasant surprise." Mr Wilkinson, Sidcup
