Less than a 15 minute drive from Port Isaac and Tintagel on the striking North Coast and offering a good touring base, this detached, double fronted, 18th century cottage, set in the peaceful village of St Teath, benefits from gas central heating and double glazing yet retains much character with the original beams, latch doors and wood panelled walls.
The front door set beneath an open porch roof leads directly into a beamed dining room with an antique pine dining suite and a large fireplace retaining the original clome oven and a wood-burning stove.
An inner hallway gives access to a compact kitchen with country pine fitted units, a comfortably furnished lounge with a beamed ceiling and an electric log effect stove, a utility room with laundry facilities and a small shower room W.C. with hand basin. A rather narrow and steep staircase, unrailed on one-side, leads up from the dining room to the first floor landing where there are a bathroom W.C. with electric shower over the bath and vanity basin and three bedrooms.
There is a double bedded room with a hip shaped ceiling, a second bedroom with a wide single bed, and a third smaller bedroom at the rear has two pine single beds and views of the parish church.
The enclosed garden at the rear has a slate terrace and a sheltered raised patio area with stone chippings and a small covered fishpond. There is a carport attached to one side of the cottage with parking for one large or two small cars.
The village church, post office store and traditional pub are all within a 5 minute walk and the town of Camelford, 4 miles, has a supermarket, leisure centre and golf course. The beach at Trebarwith Strand is 4 miles offering sand, rocks and surfing, and the unspoilt fishing harbour at Port Isaac is approximately 6 miles. The area is also ideal for walkers with the South West Coast Path, Camel Trail and Bodmin Moor all within easy reach.

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
