Portscatho and Gerrans

On the south coast of the Roseland Peninsula but backed by the Percuil Estuary only a mile away these charming villages with pubs and a few shops sit above the sandy bay looking out across Gerrans Bay to Nare Head and Gull Rock. It is hard to know where Gerrans begins and Portscatho ends although they are quite different in character with their own village centre and Church. An area with good bathing, walking and boating and the inland glories of the Roseland. Porthcurnick beach with sand and rock pools is on the spot but there are 3 other sandy beaches within a couple of miles. The Percuil Estuary gives easy access to Falmouth Bay by boat as well as providing sheltered water for sailing and wind surfing.
