St Mabyn & St Tudy

Charming adjacent parishes in rolling countryside broken by pretty wooded valleys.
Separated from the coast by the River Allen and from Bodmin Moor by the River Camel, both villages have a church, pub and post office stores. Both are about 6 miles from the North Coast at Port Isaac and 8 miles from the sand and surf at Polzeath and the water sports of the Camel Estuary. The nearest towns are Wadebridge 6 miles and Bodmin and Camelford 8 miles. The Eden Project and the many lovely gardens of central Cornwall are about half an hours drive.

Port Isaac

A really splendid example of a 'quaint old Cornish town'. Described by John Betjeman as a 'highly picturesque fishing port with narrow almost perpendicular lanes, slate-hung houses, little gardens in front of them with shells in them brought by Old Salts from the Indian Ocean, a Lifeboat Institution and an old Inn right down on the harbour'.
This admirably captures the atmosphere of this attractive place with its small beach and harbour in a re-entrant between magnificent cliffs. There is a good selection of small shops, and parking is possible on the beach at low tide.
