An unspoilt village nestling close to the Helford River, the village of Helford is a small but much-loved corner of West Cornwall, with a café, shop and Post Office. After a cool drink in the Shipwrights Arms you can catch a small passenger ferry over to the Helford Passage.
An attractive village approximately five miles south of Falmouth and a mile or so from the glorious Helford River. The village has several shops including grocers, butchers, post office, etc., as well as The Red Lion public house. There are excellent beaches nearby at Swanpool and Maenporth and several on the Helford River itself.
The road climbs steeply up the hill among winding byways of cottages with flower filled gardens to a church that has looked out for 500 years on the glorious landscape of the Helford River area and its romantic hideaway creeks. On the hill, in a hollow, lies the traditional farming village of Constantine. A charming unspoilt corner of the County with its woods, wild flowers, historic quays, National Trust gardens and land and yet within half a dozen miles of some splendid sandy beaches.
This village is at the head of the Helford River, three miles from Helston and is a gateway to the Lizard. Originally a port, Gweek is now more famous for the Seal Sanctuary.
